Wheel of Time Plush Toys announced!(2003)
ToyVault, a company that produces action figures, is set to release the first of a planned line of Wheel of Time plush toys this December. The 10" plush Trolloc, (linked picture), is the first of the line and goes on sale December 2003. The Trolloc has wire inserts that allow it to be posed.
According to ToyVault's media representative, the next plush toys planned, if the Trolloc sells well, are figures of Rand al'Thor, Perrin Aybara, and Nynaeve al'Meara. The Trolloc plush was designed by Playground Group.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Aginor created the Trollocs during the War of Power as soldiers for the Shadow. They are huge, maybe eight feet tall. They have the body of a man and the head and feet of an animal such as a bear, bird, wolf or goat. They are very strong, but they are too stupid, lazy and cowardly to be good soldiers. Trollocs see well in the dark, but bright light blinds them. Some can track by scent or sound, but they are lazy and easily give up. They kill for the pleasure of killing. They cannot be trusted unless they are afraid of you, and then not far.
ToyVault acquired its license to create toys based on Robert Jordan’s Wheel Of Time series in 1999. Initial Wheel of Time plans included a series of pre painted cold cast mini busts designed by artist Arnie Swekel. The cold cast line was shelved due to lack of market interest. ToyVault changed its focus from cold casts to plush toys in 2001. The plush Trolloc will sell for US $19.99.

Narg can't for the life of him think why this line of toys failed.....
